Visuals and Other Software

Thank you for your interest in software developed at the L.L. Thurstone Psychometric Laboratory by Forrest W. Young.

Visuals, and the other software programs listed below, have been supersceded by other, more recent, software. Information is given below on relevant software that is more current.

Visuals is included in the ViSta software system. It is no longer distributed as a separate program.
POLYCON, KYST and TORSCA are all supersceded by ALSCAL and are no longer distributed.
CORRESP, PRINQUAL, and TRANSREG are available from SAS Institute, Inc. in the SAS-Stat addon to the basic SAS system. Programs with similar capabilities are also available in SPSS Categories software from SPSS Inc..
PRINCIPALS, MORALS, and ADDALS are superseded by SAS procedures CORRESP, PRINQUAL, and TRANSREG, respectively, and are no longer distributed. These procedures are available from SAS Institute, Inc. in the SAS-Stat addon to the basic SAS system. Programs with similar capabilities are also available in SPSS Categories software from SPSS Inc..
ALSCOMP, ISIS, and ISO are no longer available.
