Environment: Tibet, certainly, is a harsh environment, where human beings have always had a precarious existance. Most of Tibet is an arid, high-mountain desert plateau lying at an altitude from 13,000 to 17,000 feet.
Location: Tibet is located in Central Asia and is surrounded by India, Mongolia, China.
Conquests: Tibet is a place over which their neighbors have long fought for control. More often than not, outsiders have subjegated the Tibetans.
Size:At times, Tibet covered an area greater than Western Europe.
Survival: Despite these difficulties, Tibetans have not only survived, but have managed to retain a remarkably vibrant outlook on life.
