Jokhang Temple: From morning to night an astounding display of chanting, prostrating pilgrims revolves around the Barkhor Bazaar and the Jokhang.

Square: The square in front of Jokhang has been modernised, becoming somewhat incongruous cross of western shopping mall and Chinese square.

Big Noses: As we "Big Noses" (as westerners are called) gathered in the square for a mini-lecturette, a hugh crowd of "Locals" (as Tibetans are know to us) gathered arround.

No Tourists: Tourists are very uncommon. We saw NO tour groups, and almost no tourists while we were in Tibet.
